Exercise Yudh Abhyas is an annual Indo-US joint military training operation, designed to improve interoperability and combat readiness between the two armies. In 2024, the exercise was hosted in the desert terrain of Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, and I had the honor of serving as official design lead and on-ground media coordinator for the event.
My responsibilities spanned across visual identity creation, tactical media production, social media campaigns, drone-based visuals, and daily media briefing support — all under the command and coordination of the Indian Army’s media cell.

Official Logo & Patch Design
A defining element of this project was the creation of the official logo and commemorative patch for Yudh Abhyas 2024. The goal was to create a design that represented:
Joint strength and cooperation between Indian and US forces
Modern military capability with legacy-inspired symbolism
A layout that worked seamlessly across uniform patches, flags, backdrops, digital, and print
The final patch was adopted officially by the Indian Army and worn by soldiers from both nations throughout the course of the exercise.

“Seeing my patch on the uniforms of Indian and US troops was a milestone in my design career.”
Design Direction
The creative approach was rooted in military discipline and clean visual command. Inspired by insignias, formations, and battlefield layouts, I chose a strong, structured visual style with:
Camouflage tones
Serif and stencil-inspired typography
National symbolism fused with tactical grid systems
Iconography that reflects modern joint warfare
On-Ground Involvement
Beyond the design desk, I was involved in the field — handling PR ops, managing media logistics, assisting with influencer coordination, and ensuring that coverage captured the strategic narrative of the exercise.

Outcome
Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2024 was not just a military collaboration — it became a narrative success story. Through clear design communication, real-time media coordination, and structured PR execution, we were able to push the visual identity of the exercise into the public domain with strategic clarity.
According to Prowly media analytics, the 2024 edition of Yudh Abhyas generated over 2 million views and impressions online — making it one of the most widely seen and digitally engaging military exercises conducted by the Indian Army to date.
The patch I designed was worn by both Indian and US troops. The branding stood firm across uniforms, backdrops, flags, and digital screens — establishing a design language that blended discipline with storytelling.
This project wasn’t just about visuals — it was about visibility. The kind that builds trust, shows strength, and leaves a lasting impression on both a national and international audience.
